COQUILLE â Coos County commissioners received an earful during an emotional call to the public Tuesday as close to a dozen community members, most from Bandon, begged commissioners to do something to ease COVID-19 restrictions in the county.
During the meeting, a collective of business owners said enough is enough when it comes to COVID restrictions.
âI think one of the most frustrating things is watching everything happen and just feeling silenced,â Theresa Avery said. âMany people are very frustrated. Our leaders are telling us to trust them, trust the science, but weâve been getting a lot of inconsistent information and a lot of unscientific information. There was the wear a mask, donât wear a mask. When they were telling us donât wear a mask, they were telling us it was dangerous to wear a mask. We donât know who to trust.â
