LOWELL The kitchens in multiple Lowell Public Schools have repeatedly failed food safety inspections going back as far as June 2021, with issues ranging from persistent mice infestation to too-warm refrigerated/freezer food storage, water leaks in storage areas and exhaust hoods that hadn't been serviced, which could be a fire hazard.
LOWELL The School Committee heard from Interim Superintendent of Schools Liam Skinner that the UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center may be used as a way station for migrant families in preparation for permanent living placements, although he cautioned that all the information that he has is “speculation” based on information from community partners.
