VOV.VN - Vietnam has confirmed an additional 103 locally transmitted coronavirus cases in five localities during the past six hours, raising its daily count to 297, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Most of the 103 locally transmitted cases were in quarantine and lockdown areas, said MoH in its 06.00pm COVID-19 update.
Of the new cases, 44 were recorded in Ho Chi Minh City, 33 in Bac Giang, 16 in Bac Ninh, nine in Ha Tinh, and one in Binh Duong.
All eyes are now on the outbreak in HCM City which remains complicated, especially following detection of a chain of transmission at its Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

VOV.VN - Vietnam has logged an additional 68 locally acquired coronavirus cases during the past 12 hours, raising its national running count of infections to 10,048, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said on June 12 morning.

Bac Giang province, which is close to the Hanoi capital, detected 29 cases, followed by Ho Chi Minh City (20), Tien Giang (10), Bac Ninh (8) and Lang Son (1).
Sixty-four cases were documented in quarantine and lockdown areas, thus posing no risk to the community, the MoH said in its 06.00am COVID-19 update.
The remaining four cases are under investigation as the source of infection remains unknown.
Ho Chi Minh City authorities moved to cordon off its Hospital for Tropical Diseases for disinfection and contact tracing after three of its employees tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus on June 12.
