WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW) Central Wisconsin residents are reacting to the Kamala Harris swearing in as Vice President.
It s a historic event, as she is the first female, Black and South-Asian person to hold the role of Vice President.
Her new role is raising the bar high and giving hope to young girls. I think it really showed minorities that they have a chance at succeeding. I think that is inspirational for many young women, like myself, to see someone who looks like me, said 14-year-old Samara Rezwan from Wausau.
