Angie Mae Dillman (Lanear) – Formerly of McLeansboro

Angie Mae Dillman (Lanear), age 79, of Manteno, Illinois passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky. She was born September 5, 1942, in McLeansboro, Illinois, the daughter of the late Carl Lanear and Wreatha Lanear (Luttrell). Angie graduated from McLeansboro High School in 1960, and she then attended Barnes Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1963. She then attended St. Francis School of Anesthesia, graduating in 1975. Angie dedicated her life to serving and sacrificing for others. She retired from St. Mary's Hospital with over forty years of service. During her career, she also took call overnight at South Suburban and St. Francis hospitals providing anesthesia to their labor and delivery units. She made numerous friends and skillfully and lovingly cared for her patients, many requesting her by name for planned surgeries. RiversEdge Church to host rummage sale

The RiversEdge United Methodist Church (500 N. Chicago Street, Spring Bay) will host a rummage sale in the hospitality hall from noon to 6 p.m. on Wednesday August 4, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday Aug. 5; and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, August 6.  All items will be sold for any donation, with all proceeds going to mission projects. The missions committee uses these proceeds for a local school, snack pack, Chaddock Children s home in Quincy, a principal and her school in Liberia, Africa, and other Methodist missions. Everyone is welcome to attend. The church is located just off Route 26 in Spring Bay.
