Newman Signs hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on May 26 at Newman Signs which collected 25 units of blood products for patients in need.
Twenty-one individuals volunteered to donate blood, and 19 individuals were able to donate at the blood drive. Four donors gave Power Red Cells, where two units of red blood cells are collected while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution to the donor. There was one person who volunteered for the first time.
Vitalant expressed its gratitude to Chad Hemmer, who coordinated the drive, and Newman Signs, which sponsored the blood drive, as well as Kari Ness, who assisted the day of the drive.
