If you haven’t heard of The O’Keefe Music Foundation before, you’re in for a treat! This non profit has been offering kids free music lessons, recording sessions, camps and so much more for awhile now.
My first introduction to the foundation was a few years ago with a group of kids covering Tool’s “46 and 2.” The latest release from the non profit is a cover of Rammstein’s “Du Hast,” fronted by a 9 year old!
The Return of STAIND with a two-part global streaming series featuring Live: It’s Been Awhile on May 1st, and the 20th anniversary performance of one of their most iconic albums, Break The Cycle, streamed in its entirety on May 8th.
In honor of these events, 104.9 the WOLF will award 5 listeners with passes to the May 1, 2021 show and 5 listeners with passes to the May 8th, 2021 show.

I’ve recently become slightly obsessed with artificial intelligence. To make me obsess over it a bit more, one just wrote a Nirvana song.
A Toronto based metal health group called Over The Bridge started the Lost Tapes of the 27 Club initiative to see what AI could come up with after listening to 20-30 songs from various artists that died at 27. Some of the other artists that received an AI makeover are Jimi Hendrix, Amy Winehouse, and Jim Morrison.
After listening to the songs, the program translated the pitch and rhythm in to a digital code, then it went through a synthesizer to create the song. AI also wrote the lyrics. Although this is pretty neat, let’s hope AI doesn’t get a record deal any time soon.
