Revisiting an old wine favorite during a virtual tasting

In the Before Times, springtime would have brought new releases at quite a few trade tastings at cideries, distilleries, breweries and wineries. Lots of in-person research would have been gathered in pursuit of tasty beverages.
Today, on the plus side, there have been many safe virtual tastings available hosted by professionals while virtually touring vineyards from the safety of home. And other small tastings with a few friends, outside, 6 feet apart with a warming fire pit in between us.
One of my favorites virtual tasting was a comparison of American Viticultural Areas. In the Yakima Valley AVA, there are three sub-AVAs – Red Mountain, Rattlesnake Hills and Snipes Mountain. Three winemakers from each of the sub-AVAs talked about their vineyards properties and the style of wine produced.
