The modernist 1914 six-story building of the Jablkowski Brothers Department Store that survived World War II bombings by Nazi Germany is a historic landmark, in Warsaw, Poland, Saturday, July 10, 2021. After World War II the business was forced into bankruptcy and seized by the communist regime. The Jablkowski family regained the historic building in a long battle after communism fell, and were preparing to relaunch business when the pandemic hit and forced some changes to their plans, but did not undermine them.
