CEYLON Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon will celebrate Easter at their 5:30 p.m. service tonight, with communion. There will be no Easter meal or lunch. St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon will have their Easter service at 9 a.m. on Sunday. The other Circle of Faith congregations will celebrate at Waverly Lutheran, north of Welcome, at 9 a.m. Sunday. Trinity Lutheran in Welcome will have a sunrise service at 7 a.m. on Sunday. None of the churches will have a breakfast or lunch due to COVID regulations. St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will have a 9:30 a.m. Sunday service. All area residents are invited to join these congregations for services. I hope you all have a happy and safe Easter.

WELCOME It’s April already, hope you didn’t get fooled too many times yesterday. Sunday is Easter. Circle of Faith congregations will have a Good Friday service 6:30 p.m. tonight at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. On Easter the services will be 7 a.m. at Trinity in Welcome and First Trinity. Waverly Lutheran and St. Peter Lutheran churches will have Easter services at 9 a.m. None of the churches have scheduled a breakfast this year due to the pandemic. St. Paul’s
United Church of Christ in Welcome will have an Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. All are glad to be able to have Easter services this year.

CEYLON Ceylon City Council will meet 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Ceylon City Hall. All members are urged to attend. There is time for public comments/questions at the beginning of each meeting. If the comment will take more than five minutes or you want to be on the regular agenda, please contact the city clerk at (507) 632-4653 prior to the meeting.
Tuesday is also the date scheduled for the March meeting of the Ceylon Legion and Sons of the Legion. All members are urged to attend the 7 p.m. meeting at the Legends II building. Some of the agenda includes Memorial Day preparations. Everyone is needed.
