Various events are happening this week in and around DeKalb County, including the ending of the Fernbank Wildwoods: AGLOW Attraction, the Decatur Business Association Black History Program and an open house hosted by Leadership DeKalb. Several local government meetings are also scheduled for this week.
The Decatur City Commission, at its Feb. 6 meeting, approved an agreement with Blue Line Solutions to create a school zone speed enforcement program to install traffic cameras in some of the city’s school zones.
The Decatur City Commission will meet on Monday, Feb. 6, for a work session at 6:15 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. The regular meeting will be held in person at Decatur City Hall, 509 N. McDonough Street, and virtually via Zoom.
The Decatur Downtown Development Authority, at its Nov. 11 meeting, established a commercial facade improvement grant program and allocated $100,000 to the program.
Walking into the Cereal Lab in downtown Decatur, guests are greeted with the smell of waffle cones and a warm welcome. Modeled after a cereal bar, the shop combines cereal and ice cream.
