New York Suspends State Debt Collection
The worldwide pandemic has caused much financial hardship all over our country, and New York State has halted the collection of medical, and student debt owed to the state.
Business and families have lost income due to the rapid spread of this disease; 4.8 million New Yorkers have filed for unemployment.

According to a news release, Attorney General Letitia James renewed the ongoing order to help workers and families with the financial burdens of medical and student debt, owed to the state, and referred to the Office of Attorney General (OAG) for collection, through February 28, 2021.

The former Congresswoman on November 19 announced she had won her seat back after posting a lead of a couple thousand votes over incumbent Democrat Congressman Anthony Brindisi in the November 3 election. PennDOT Waives CDL Test for Qualified Veterans
In an effort to help veterans with their transitions into civilian life, PennDOT and the DMVA are waving CDL requirements to qualified individuals.
According to a news release from PennDOT, a new Pennsylvania law will waive the requirements for residents of Pennsylvania, who are current and former military members, and who operate a commercial vehicle as part of their duties, to take a commercial Driver’s License Knowledge Test when they are applying for a CDL.

In the release, PennDOT Secretary Yassmin Gramian said “We are pleased to announce this important change and hope that it helps military members in their transition to civilian life find good-paying, sustainable employment to begin their new lives,”
