The trial of the four people accused of criminal damage in the toppling of the statue of Edward Colston will take more than a week to complete, a court was told today.
The four appeared for the first time at Bristol Crown Court today, Tuesday March 2, and renewed their pleas of not guilty to a single charge of criminal damage in connection with the damage to the statue in June last year.
A trial date has been set for December 13, with the case being heard by the Recorder of Bristol, Judge Peter Blair QC at Bristol Crown Court.
