Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 6 : The ruling Left front in Kerala has been questioned by the Opposition over the government postings, which the latter has termed as backdoor postings .
The youth wing of CPM, Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) has backed the postings by the Pinarayi Vijayan-led LDF government, saying they were done under humanitarian considerations.
This has come as a complete contrast to DYFI s earlier stance as in the past, it had conducted several agitations against the previous UDF government led by Oommen Chandy over such postings.

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 4 : The Congress in Kerala said on Thursday that it will carry out extensive public campaign against intensive back-door recruitments done by the CPI-led UDF government and review such cases when it returns to power in the southern state. The LDF government led by the CPI-M is on a recruitment spree in Kerala and thereby cheating educated unemployed youths in the state, Senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala told the media at Kozhikode during his Aiswarya Kerala Yatra .

A special CBI court in Thiruvananthapuram has found
to life in prison. Kottoor, 69, and Sephy, 55, were charged under Section 302 (murder) and Section 201 (destruction of evidence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The verdict came 28 years after the body of the nun was found in a well of her convent hostel in Kottayam. During the course of the hearing, the HC had allowed the discharge petition of Father Puthrikkayl, the third accused in the case.
