Free COVID-19 testing will continue to be available in Centre County.
The testing is done at the Education Center at the Centre County Recycling and Refuse Headquarters in College Township.
It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 to 7, each day.
The testing service is provided through the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
No appointment is neccessary.
Centre County Covid-19 Testing
Free COVID-19 testing in Centre County will continue through the end of June.
The testing site will remain at the Interpretive Center at the Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority Headquarters in College Township.
The testing service is being provided by the state’s Department Of Health.
The site is open on a weekly basis, Tuesday through Saturday,from 10 o’clock in the morning until 7 in the evening.
BELLEFONTE A free COVID-19 testing site will soon open in Bellefonte.
According to a news release from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, beginning Tuesday and continuing through Saturday, May 29, a clinic will be held at the Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority Interpretive Center, located at 253 Transfer Road in Bellefonte.
The announcement came from the DOH on Saturday.
The clinic had been at the Patton Township Municipal Building from March 30 through this past Saturday.
“The continuation of the free, no appointment needed COVID-19 testing site allows those who haven’t signed up for a vaccination yet to get a test,” said Michael Pipe, chair of the Centre County Board of Commissioners. “Talk to your doctor today about getting a COVID-19 vaccine. They’d be happy to answer your questions.”
The free COVID-19 testing clinic in Centre County will continue through the end of May at a new location.
Beginning Tuesday and continuing through May 29, the clinic will operate at the Centre County Recycling & Refuse Authority Interpretive Center, 253 Transfer Road, Bellefonte, the Pennsylvania Department of Health announced on Saturday.
The clinic had been at the Patton Township Municipal Building from March 30 through Saturday.
The new location will be an outdoor walk-up site. Hours will remain the same: 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Testing is open to anyone age 3 or older on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment is required and patients do not need to have COVID-19 symptoms to get tested. Patients are encouraged to bring a photo ID.
