[applause] im on book tour this week i get the same questions every time so i thought i would tell you what they were. The first is how did you get involved in Mental Health . Why did you write the books i will tell you how i got involved. I was campaigning for jimmy when he ran the first time and lost the first time we got in late the candidate dropped out in this was 1966 and we didnt have long to campaign so i drove from one town to the next very disorganized campaign. But this was 66 and they are beginning to move people out of the Central State Hospital and into the community but there was no Mental Health service yet. I had so many people say what way your husband do if elected governor . Standing at a gay at 430 in the morning for the shift change a whole bunch of people coming in and going out and passing out brochures. A lady was small and elderly you could tell how tired she wa
She served as first lady from 1977 to 1981 and shes the author of five looks and a 1984 her bestselling memoir first lady from planes was released. This is carters subsequent books have focused on caregiving and Mental Health care. The subject shes championed throughout her life. I started on monday and i get the same two questions every time so i thought i would tell you what they were. If she had just stabbed him to death, we never would have heard of her. Tainted love its been through the ringer. What do you need . Mark. Its all a matter of what you believe. You know, i want people to understand the story, the whole story. The truth to the whole story. The whole story was a coverup. The whole court case. Lorena getting off on her charge was a big coverup. Okay. Go for it. Well start where you want to start. What was a coverup . Its one of the most talked about stories of the year. The case has struck a nerve. The sordid details of a marriage gone berserk. The bobbitts could only get more attention if they were starring in a tv movie. This case wont go away. It contin
Handgun on the ground outside the macys door on the third leveling and most of the investigation appears focused on the fourth level. Heres what police had to tell us just a short time ago. Upon arrival it was determined that a struggle ensued between two subjects in the garage in whichrm a firea was brandished. The struggle continued and one subject was shot. S thatbject has been transported to an area hospital withni lifethreate injuries. Police tell us there is no threat to the community. They have spoken to both people involved inhat struggle. Ey could not tell us what led to that fight or who opened the gun, who was legally owned or how many guns were involved, but, again, we do know that we saw one handgun that was recovered here. One person taken to the hospital with lifethreatening injuries taying on her person the scene and being interviewed by police. Again, so far nobody has been charged, and, again, no threats to the community in this area. Thats the very latest. Pat, back
