The Transport and Salaried Staffs Association General Secretary, Manuel Cortes, has warned of “looming industrial action” at Balfour Beatty where members of the union are being balloted in a dispute over pay. He says that TSSA members at Balfour Beatty haven t been offered any pay increase for 2020 and only a rise of two per cent from this April. This comes at a time when the infrastructure company is paying out nearly £2 million in bonuses to senior managers and turning a profit close to £50m.
