University of Michigan could achieve carbon neutrality for certain emissions by 2025, report says

ANN ARBOR, MI The President’s Commission on Carbon Neutrality at the University of Michigan has recommended a lofty goal of achieving carbon neutrality for certain emissions by 2025.
The commission released a draft of its recommendations Thursday, which identifies a number of potential goals for UM to reach carbon neutrality, including:
Reach carbon neutrality for Scope 1 emissions across all three campuses by 2025 (inclusive of carbon offsets) and eliminate Scope 1 emissions entirely by 2040;
