Kickoff times set for three Texas games

The kickoff times and television carriers for three Texas Longhorns football games were announced on Thursday.
The season opener against Louisiana on Sept. 4 will air on FOX at 3:30 p.m. Central in the debut for new head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff. It will be the third all-time meeting between the two programs, with the Longhorns winning in 2000 and 2005.
Two weeks later, on Sept. 18, Texas returns to Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium following the road trip to Fayetteville to face Rice at 7 p.m. Central on Longhorn Network. The in-state opponents have met 95 times previously, with the Horns holding a 73-21-1. Texas has not played Rice at home since a win in 2015.

Kicking off a big day in Texas Longhorns sports, head coach Steve Sarkisian and his team will take the field at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday to finish spring practice with the Orange-White game.
The scrimmage starts at 1 p.m. Central on Longhorn Network. More information is available here for those planning on attending.
On Friday, the school released the injury list for the game, which includes 11 players punter Ryan Bujcevski (knee), center Rafiti Ghirmai (hamstring), linebacker D.J. Harris Jr. (knee), wide receiver Dajon Harrison (ankle), linebacker Jaden Hullaby (knee), offensive lineman Derek Kerstetter (ankle), tight end Brayden Liebrock (shoulder), deep snapper Justin Mader (shoulder), linebacker DeMarvion Overshown (shoulder), wide receiver Jake Smith (foot), and defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat (shoulder).
Game-winning hit negates Nevada rally in 6-5 win for No. 3 Texas

After the bullpen blew a 5-1 lead thanks to a four-run eighth inning by the Nevada Wolfpack to steal a win from left-hander Pete Hansen, the No. 3 Texas Longhorns came through in the bottom of the inning with a double from right fielder Douglas Hodo III and a double from second baseman Mitchell Daly to score the winning run at UFCU Disch-Falk Field on Wednesday.
