Lots of North Carolina snow fans are hungry for snow. After a rather dismal winter last year (really, the past couple of winters have not been much to write home about in some areas), folks are growing impatient. And with each day that passes here in January, the sun angle starts to get a little higher, and the days start to get a little longer.

NORTH CAROLINA – If last year seemed really soggy to you, it s not just you. New data from the State Climate Office of North Carolina and the National Centers of Environmental Information shows 2020 was one of the wettest years on record for the state.

The year also was tied for the third-warmest year for the state
Trends toward a wetter and warmer climate in North Carolina are expected to continue
