Government of Assam has taken extensive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens in light of the impending increase in rainfall and wind speeds due to Cyclone Remal, which will make landfall on May 26 at West Bengal and Bangladesh and move northwards towards the Northeast.
According to the statement, senior officers visited locations in cities such as Indore, Chennai, Salem, Mumbai, Akola, Latur, Sholapur, Kalaburagi, Jabalpur and Katni and interacted with state government officers, millers, traders, importers and port authorities.
To boost green cover on roads in the national capital, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai convened a high-level joint review meeting with officers from all concerned departments to augment the city s roadside green cover.
