Active cases around Central Zone
The Central Zone added 132 new cases on Saturday for a total of 5,204. Active cases dropped from 1,473 to 1,450.
Hospitalizations went from 75 to 73, and ICU admissions rose from five to eight (all of which are in Red Deer). There was one more death in the zone for a total of 31.
Red Deer County dropped from 99 to 97 active cases, while Sylvan Lake went to 28 from 33, a two-day net decrease of 10 active cases.
Lacombe County now has 45 active cases, down one, while the city of Lacombe’s active case count is at 26, the same as yesterday.
Ponoka County remains at 264 active cases and one deaths, with the town of Ponoka at 38 active cases.
