President Bob Davies commented on the multiple challenges the university has faced over the last year.
He says it’s the university’s responsibility to acknowledge recent political discourse, racial inequities, and financial uncertainties student have because of the pandemic.
He says many of their students have felt the weight of these issues.
President Davies says he commends his staff and students for their ability to adjust quickly.
“COVID-19 has forever changed the future of higher education. The arrival of the virus brought fourth rapid changes that are here to stay. Now we find ourselves in a crucible moment,” said Central Michigan University President, Bob Davies.
