Massachusetts has grown into the global capital for biotechnology and life sciences research. The state’s renowned hospitals like Boston Children’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital, Tufts Medical Center, and others have, in conjunction with the universities attached to them like Harvard University and Tufts University, made the area a place where innovation flourishes. While the tech industry has Silicon Valley, the biotech industry has Cambridge.
Following a tumultuous two years at the top of the organization, the Greater Worcester Community Foundation has selected New York foundation executive Peter Dunn to be its new president and CEO.
50 Years of Experience Focused on Community Inclusion and Evidence-Based Practices
Open Sky Community Services was formed in 2018 through the affiliation of two of Central Massachusetts’ premier human service organizations: Alternatives Unlimited, Inc. and The Bridge of Central Massachusetts. While the name is only a few years old, the collective history is long and strong, with close to 50 years of experience in program development, evidence-based practices and community engagement, centered around people experiencing complex challenges.
