Central Manchester Member of Parliament (MP), Rhoda Crawford, is ready to move on from the controversy she was thrown into by comments from by vice-presidential nominees for the Opposition People’s National Party (PNP), Ian Hayles and Richard Azan, at a Central Manchester divisional meeting last Saturday.
In a social media post on Wednesday afternoon after Hayles and Azan had issued a joint public apology earlier through a press release, Crawford said she is expecting that the incident will serve as a lesson for politicians to behave more responsibly.
“I accept and appreciate the apologies of the men and hope that as political leaders, we will all begin to conduct ourselves in a way that will lead to a better cultured society, where respect is our hallmark,” wrote Crawford.
