Fentanyl Seized As Part Of Drug Arrest In Effingham County

Effingham, IL / Effingham Radio Apr 6, 2021 12:53 PM Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Two Effingham County residents are in jail after being involved in a traffic stop in Effingham. On Saturday afternoon, April 3rd, an Effingham County Deputy stopped a Ford Van driven by Joshua D Mayberry, of Effingham, near Fayette Avenue. It was discovered that Mayberry was driving on a revoked Illinois Driver‘s License.  Effingham City Police K9 Siren was present at the traffic stop and conducted a free–air sniff of the exterior of the vehicle, indicating the presence of illegal narcotics. A search of the vehicle turned up several items of drug paraphernalia, suspected methamphetamine and Fentanyl. 

4 In Nebo Arrested After Search Warrants Issued

By Benjamin Cox on March 2, 2021 at 10:22pm The Pike County Sheriff’s Department and the West Central Illinois Drug Task Force simultaneously conducted 2 court-authorized search warrants in the Village of Nebo yesterday evening. According to a press release from Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood, the first search warrant was served at 10:38PM at a residence located at 525 East Park Street in Nebo. Subsequent to the execution of the search warrant the following individuals were arrested: 37 year old Bobby J. Warner was cited for unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also wanted on a Pike County warrant for a probation violation as well as a Calhoun County warrant for a probation violation.
