A RESCUE team was called after a pair of inadequately-equipped adventurers became stuck on a Lake District fell in wintry conditions. The duo had attempted to climb the snow-covered face of Harrison Stickle, in the Central Fells region, on Saturday. However, after getting stuck, they called for help. Langdale/Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team (LAMRT) was notified of the incident at around 3.45pm. An LAMRT spokesman said, despite being inadequately equipped , the pair eventually contacted rescuers to say they had made it to safe ground on their own steam. Rescue team members were consequently stood down. The incident required 18 LAMRT team members for around 1.5 hours.
