MOSES LAKE Interested high school students and their families from throughout Grant County and North Central Washington are invited to learn about a new apprenticeship program at a Moses Lake business through a Youth Apprenticeship Information Night set for Sept. 27.
WATERVILLE — Fair season has arrived and the North Central Washington Fair opened its gates Thursday for a weekend of carnival rides, food, exhibits, livestock auctions, and entertainment.
WENATCHEE Nominations will be accepted from Sept. 1 to 16 for a position on the North Central Education Service District board representing five school districts in Grant County.
The NCESD board member will represent District 4, which includes the Ephrata, Quincy, Wilson Creek, Warden and Soap Lake school districts.
Qualifying candidates must be US citizens, registered voters and live within the boundaries of one of the five school districts. Applicants can’t be school employees or a school board member from any of the districts they would represent. Applicants also can’t be on the Washington State Board of Education.
QUINCY The Quincy School Board received recognition for its selection as the School Board of the Year in the North Central Education Service District June 27, with NCESD Superintendent Michelle Price traveling to Quincy to present its members with a plaque.
