Former East Greenwich Town Manager hit with $3,000 in ethics fines

PROVIDENCE  The Rhode Island Ethics Commission has fined financial turnaround guru Gayle Corrigan $3,251 for ethics code violations stemming from her time as East Greenwich town manager, specifically her hiring of a business associate to oversee town and school finances. In 2017, East Greenwich resident William Higgins accused Corrigan of unlawfully hiring and supervising her Providence Analytics business associate Linda Dykeman as the  consolidated finance director in East Greenwich at a salary of $127,500.  A second complaint, filed in April 2018 by Renu Englehart (who now serves on the Town Council), accused Corrigan of failing to document more than $200,000 in earnings from a “state or municipal entity” in her financial disclosure filings for 2016, according to the East Greenwich News..
