The Ministry of Ayush through its research council, the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) has taken this health initiative for Tribal Students in collaboration with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and ICMR-NIRTH Jabalpur.
The Ayush Ministry on Tuesday announced that it will launch a national level project of health screening and management through ayurvedic interventions that will benefit over 20,000 tribal students.The project, to be launched here on Wednesday .
“I came here with my husband for his heart check-up and was very stressed. The yoga session was constructive and motivated me to learn more,” said Kamal Gupta, wife of a visiting patient.
The Ayush Ministry s interim Budget allocation for 2024-25 has increased to Rs 3,712.49 crore, up by 23.74% from the revised estimates of Rs 3,000 crore in 2023-24. The National Medicinal Plants Board received Rs 14.63 crore, and the Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy (PCIM&H) was allocated Rs 20.80 crore. Autonomous bodies within the ministry, such as the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences, Central Council for Research in Homeopathy, and All India Institute of Ayurveda, have received allocations totaling Rs 1,848.40 crore.
