Willmar police arrested a 22-year-old male from Willmar after a caller reported a stolen vehicle at 12:03 a.m. Jan. 1. According to a news release, officers located the vehicle and attempted a stop, but the male fled from police.
Willmar police were dispatched Thursday morning to a crash involving a school bus in Willmar. According to Chief Felt, the bus was rear-ended by a following vehicle. A 15-year-old driver suffered minor injuries and was issued a citation.
Willmar Police Chief Jim Felt said a 16-year-old male was arrested and transported to Prairie Lakes Youth Programs pending potential charges after officers were called to a possible fight in southwest Willmar early Sunday.
Jose Reyna, 50, of Willmar, was identified as the driver injured in a rollover crash reported Sunday morning in the city of Willmar. According to a news release, Reyna swerved to avoid hitting an animal.
A 26-year-old suspect, Eveth Melec Garcia Talabera, of Willmar, was arrested when police forced entry where he was barricaded after a reported assault involving a knife early Wednesday. He made his first appearance Thursday in Kandiyohi County District Court.
