While electricity and water has been restored to nearly all Hays County residents, many continue to struggle in the aftermath of the record-setting Texas freeze last week that left much of the county without heat and running water for days.
Local social service groups say that the restoration of electricity and power has resolved many short-term problems, but many long-term effects have yet to be realized.
In support of all Hays County residents, including first responders, hospital/medical workers, grocery employees and area business workers, the service groups have launched the Mission Buda Cares campaign to feed those who need it.
