After a yearlong hiatus due to COVID-19 precautions and mandatory restrictions on public gatherings, the Center Line Independence Festival will return with a full slate of events June 4-6 at Memorial Park on Lawrence Avenue, north of 10 Mile Road. Themed live music and family-friendly activities, a carnival and refreshments are planned each day. Activities include inflatables, helicopter rides and a petting zoo.

Organizers greenlight cruise, fest in Center Line and Warren Shutterstock image Advertisement CENTER LINE/WARREN Plans are underway to jump start the three-day Center Line Independence Festival and the Cruisin’ 53 car cruise along Van Dyke Avenue in Warren and Center Line in June. The festival will run June 4-6 in Center Line with live music, food and other activities all three days. There will be fireworks at dusk June 5, capping a full Saturday of activities including the Cruisin’ 53 parade and car show on Van Dyke with epicenters at three locations: the cruise headquarters, at 10 Mile Road and Van Dyke; Warren’s City Square, next to City Hall on Van Dyke north of 12 Mile Road; and Warren’s Civic Center South complex on Van Dyke, north of Nine Mile Road. The fourth annual Run Warren 5K will be held at 9 a.m. that morning.
