BROOKLYN CENTER, Minnesota Since an officer shot and killed Daunte Wright, people have stepped up to support the community of Brooklyn Center and the surrounding area.
From GoFundMe pages to donation drives, these efforts are still underway.
Wednesday afternoon, a line was out the door at the Blue Barn at Brooklyn Center Middle and High School.
As of Wednesday, more than 2,000 people had stopped by to pick up donations.

BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. (FOX 9) - Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old Black man, was fatally shot by a police officer during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota Sunday. Since the deadly shooting, people from all over have been offering their support for Daunte Wright’s family and the Brooklyn Center community.
The family of Daunte Wright has set up a GoFundMe account to go towards Daunte’s funeral costs and future care of his young son.
The Minnesota National Guard has been deployed to Brooklyn Center after crowds protested the death of a man in an officer-involved shooting and car crash on Sunday.
