Police say it was just after 7 00 wednesday morning when Delaware State Police Corporal Lloyd mccann tried to pull over a suspect after an earlier domestic dispute at this townhome complex. Thats when the suspect opened fire. Once that vehicle stopped, the suspect exited that vehicle and immediately ex changed gunfire with the trooper. Reporter 26 year old corporal would you shot and raced to the Bay Health Kent jenn roll hospital by fellow troopers. Then medivacked to christiana hospital for further treatment. The 29 year old suspect was pronounced dead at the hospital 90 minutes later. The trooper was shot twice. He is listed in stable condition and is currently with family. Reporter investigators say it all started with a domestic confrontation between the suspect and his girlfriend just after midnight.
