The number of centenarians in Japan has reached a record high of 92,139, with women making up 88.5% of this total, according to data from the country's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. Record high: The record marks the 53rd consecutive annual increase, with the nation having 1,613 more centenarians compared to the previous year. Japan has one of the world’s fastest-aging populations with an average of 73.74 centenarians per 100,000 people.
