In honor of its third anniversary, the Iowa Project hosted a Community Day for Spencer residents Saturday. Several local organizations including Spencer Main Street, People for Pets and Arts on Grand were present to provide activities and snacks. A going away celebration was held for the Brown family last Saturday. Kevin and Tara Brown along with their sons Oscar and Phillip. The family celebrated their plans to temporarily relocate to Tanzania to continue their work with the Siouxland Tanzania Educational Medical Ministries.
