Westside Gunn ofÂ
Pray For Haiti.
Machâs core-audience of investors has grown to expect. This time around, incredibly,Â
Mach has raised the bar once again, and sharing the stage with perennial allyÂ
Westside Gunn, we can expect that investor base to expand significantly.
âMach and I cooked up a Hip-Hop classic withÂ
Pray For HaitiÂ
Westside Gunn asserted!
Pray For Haiti also acts as a charitable vehicle with 20% of the proceeds going toward theÂ
PRAY FOR HAITI TRUST FUND, which will improve schools in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
âI had a lot of fun makingÂ
Pray For Haiti. We travelled some, and made some great memories along the way. But thereâs another reason beyond the music why this album is specialâ Mach-Hommy commented.
Listen to Mach-Hommy’s “Marie”: The Ones Pitchfork 3 hrs ago
Haitians are a prideful bunch. Throughout all the joy, the pain, and the current political turmoil, anyone who is Haitian says it with their chest. Mach-Hommy does, too. His heritage has always been a large part of his music, and he brings it to the forefront on his latest album
Pray For Haiti. Particularly on “Marie,” which has a blend of meditative thoughts, lavish boasts, and punchlines that let you know he comes from Newark, New Jersey, but its most memorable lines are the opening ones communicated in Haitian Creole. Sung with warmth over a earnest, reflective Cee Gee beat, they roughly translate to something about a woman dressed in all black who approaches him. It may seem like a small moment, but it’s not. It’s pride; it’s passion; it’s heart.
