Cedar Rapids Bradley Brad P. Thompson, 65, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Monday, March 29, 2021, at his home. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 5, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Private services will take place on Tuesday, April 6, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Following the continued guidance from health officials, physical distancing must be practiced, which requires a limited number of people allowed into the visitation at one time. The use of face masks or shields is required for the visitation and funeral service. Brad was born on Aug. 12, 1955, in St. Cloud, Minn., but spent most of his life in Cedar Rapids. Brad worked at Quaker Oats for 42 years until his retirement in 2018. When he was not making Aunt Jemima syrup, he could be found riding his Harley Davidson, keeping an eye on the neighborhood from his lawn chair in the garage or feeding the birds. He was devoted to his dogs, Peyton and Chloe. He enjoyed traveling, f
