CEDAR GROVE, NJ As heat advisories continue this week due to rising temperatures, parents in Cedar Grove are calling for the mask mandate to be removed in schools.
The Cedar Grove School District Superintendent Anthony Grosso recently sent out a letter to parents which allows students and staff to have mandatory 10-minute mask breaks on heat advisory days. There is a minimum of two breaks per hour.
Grosso added that Governoe Phil Murphy s message to relax masking during extreme weather conditions is “contradictory” to recent Executive Orders issued by the governor and the NJ Department of Health.
