Activities coordinator Sharon Boyd helped residents put their words on paper and took photos of them holding onto their touching stories. They were then shared on social media to let the world know just how much their loved ones mean to them. Gallery1 Sharon said: It was lovely to listen to everyone reminiscence about how they met their life partners and soul mates. “Of course it’s difficult to be apart from loved ones, especially during such uncertainty, but this just made us all the more imaginative in expressing our love, which was kind of wonderful.”

Spalding care home residents share Christmas memories with pupils  | Updated: 16:11, 22 December 2020 Residents at Cedar Falls Care Home in Spalding have shared their memories of childhood Christmases with the next generation. Activities coordinator Sharon Kendall contacted Spalding Parish Day School and arranged for residents to write letters to the children. Residents wrote about their happy Christmases, hanging stockings at the end of beds and the thrill of the whole family decorating the tree together. They remembered Christmas dinner with everyone sitting and laughing around the table, and afterwards gathering around the old piano to sing the same carols children sing today.

Registered Manager Anita Malkevica and her team at Cedar Falls Care Home in Spalding were overjoyed to receive a mountain of delicious cakes from the Spalding factory workers. Bakkavor staff made the gesture to support the care home and its team during the pandemic and made the surprise delivery. Bakkavor staff deliver cakes to Cedar Falls in Spalding (43660859) Anita said, “Bakkavor’s thoughtful donation brought festive cheer to Cedar Falls. Its’ wonderful to know that our local community is thinking of us and supporting us during these challenging times. We were all touched and absolutely delighted, the cakes were lovely – thank you Bakkavor.”

Residents at Cedar Falls Care Home were overjoyed to receive a hand written Christmas card from Freddie (6) and Daniel Fisher (4). The kind hearted boys wanted to bring festive cheer to residents living on the first floor at Cedar Falls to make them feel loved after such a challenging year. Cedar Falls residents in Spalding were delighted to receive a Christmas card from Freddie Fisher (6) and Daniel Fisher (4). (43505505) So after putting their heads together they decided to send everyone a hand written Christmas card with a traditional chocolate coin.
