McDonalds has upped their poultry sandwich game by unveiling the new crispy chicken sandwich in three variations crispy, spicy and deluxe. A compressed deep-fried patty takes center position on the shiny toasted roll and a small dollop of spicy pepper sauce holds three pickles in place on the upper bun. It’s simple, crispy and, to be honest, very greasy and dry. It needs that lettuce, tomato, onion and a much spicier sauce.
Still, other fast food chains are scrambling to come up with similar signature sandwiches. If you’re in the mood for really exceptional chicken sandwiches, however, skip the fast-food line and head to one of these eateries.
