Austin FC recorded their second-straight win on Saturday night, beating Minnesota United FC 1-0 at Allianz Field. Diego Fagundez scored the game-winner off a pinpoint cross from Jared Stroud in the 17th minute to give ATXFC the three (3) points.
Austin made a quick start, finding the goal in the 17th minute through Fagundez from quality buildup play, coming from Danny Hoesen holding up the ball and playing Jared Stroud down the right wing. Stroud crossed to Fagundez on the far post, and the midfielder finished past Dayne St. Clair for his second goal in as many games.
In the dying minutes of the match Rodney Redes, who entered in the 64th minute for his Paraguayan compatriot Cecilio Domínguez, nearly made it two (2) when his shot hit the post.

Austin FC recorded the Club’s first-ever
MLS win, beating the
Colorado Rapids 3-1 away in a match that saw ATXFC come back from 1-0 down to score three goals in 12 minutes, including a brace for Designated Player
Cecilio Domínguez, the Paraguayan’s first goals for Austin FC.
Before the match, Austin FC had been made aware of a potential League-related administrative issue regarding
Tomás Pochettino’s registration. While the League believes there are no issues, they requested Austin FC remove Pochettino from the starting lineup out of an abundance of caution. The Club is hoping to receive resolution shortly.

Jon Gallagher had the ball poked away in the area and Domínguez bent a first-timer into the net to give Austin (1-1-0) a 2-1 lead in the 67th minute and then ran onto a one-touch pass from Rodney Redes and tapped a side-footer inside the post to cap the scoring about four minutes later. Andre Shinyashiki headed home a corner kick by Jack Price to give Colorado (0-1-1) a 1-0 lead in the 36th minute.
