Police issued a shelter-in-place order for two hours late Tuesday in a Santa Clara neighborhood near the Westfield Valley Fair mall while officers searched for a suspect involved in a domestic dispute.

Police at 8:40 p.m. reported the suspect was taken into custody and lifted the shelter-in-place order.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. Louisville Metro Police homicide detectives arrested a man Friday night and charged him with attempted murder in connection with a February shooting at Cecil Avenue and West Broadway that left a victim hospitalized and possibly on a ventilator for the rest of his life, officials said.
Robert McDowell Jr., 30, of Louisville, allegedly shot the victim at least 11 times on Feb. 24, with Second Division officers finding the victim about 3 p.m. that afternoon on Cecil Avenue at West Broadway in the West End, according to an arrest citation.
The victim, whose age was not provided, has remained on a ventilator in the intensive care unit at University of Louisville Hospital since the shooting, according to police.
