File photo/Arnold Bustamante May 07, 2021 THE more than P1 million worth of illegal drugs confiscated in Cebu City Jail did not sit well with Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella.
Labella said the result of the greyhound operation was alarming.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology confiscated illegal drugs worth P1.08 million in a greyhound operation at the male dormitory of the Cebu City Jailearly Thursday morning, May 6, 2021.
Apart from the illegal drugs, the police also seized contraband and firearms, including a .45 caliber pistol, its magazine assembly and live ammunition, cell phones, sharp weapons, and cigarettes, which are all forbidden inside the City Jail.

+ March 17, 2021 THE Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) and the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) will enforce a traffic rerouting scheme for Carbon Market shoppers starting Monday, March 22, 2021.
Vehicles will now enter Escaño Street corner Magallanes Street and exit M.C. Briones Street going to the Senior Citizens’ Park.
For shoppers, entrance and exit will be at Escario Street, Manalili Street, and M.C. Briones Street.
No entry for the following streets:
• Kawit Street
• F. Gonzales Street
