Man arrested after tiger spotted on lawn in Houston but animal remains on the loose Laura Sharman
A Texas man on bail for murder was returned to custody after neighbours spotted his alleged pet tiger wandering along a residential street in Houston.
Victor Hugo Cuevas, 26, was arrested and charged with felony evading arrest on Monday, according to Houston Police Department (HPD), in the US.
Police said they believed the tiger belonged to Cuevas but his attorney questioned the accuracy of that belief.
Cuevas also apparently had two monkeys in the home, according to Commander Ron Borza.
He added that he believed Cuevas had been on bail, set at $250,000, for a murder in Fort Bend County in November 2020.
