In Manitoba, effective May 1, 2022, employers must comply with new Accessibility Standard for Employment. Employers with fifty or more employees in Manitoba must have a written policy in place to ensure compliance with those standards.
Accessibility Standard for Employment, which was enacted on May 1, 2019, is intended to eliminate barriers faced by the Manitoban labour force. To be compliant, employers must implement a number of policies and practices as prescribed by the regulations.
