CALAX Toll Operations, upcoming section inspected

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite May 25 (PIA) The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) recently inspected the operational segments and upcoming section of the Cavite Laguna Expressway (CALAX), one of the road infrastructure projects of the MPCALA Holdings, Inc. (MHI), a subsidiary of the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) in partnership with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). TRB s newly appointed Executive Director Atty. Alvin A. Carullo led the inspection team together with TRB Chief of Regulation Division Joz Carlos G. Proposed local ordinance to protect public, dogs welfare

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite May 10 (PIA) Cavite 4th District Rep. Pidi Barzaga proposed the drafting of a city ordinance in Dasmariñas that will address the perrenial problem on stray dogs biting residents, not only to protect the public but the dogs welfare as well. According to Rep. Barzaga, the city government allocates almost a million pesos of the LGU s funds on a monthly basis for the purchase of rabies vaccine. He also cited that 50% of the victims were children or members of the household of dog owners. As part of the initiative, the city government will undertake the construction of a big impounding center to house stray dogs captured with the support of a centralized dog catching system.

LGU GenTri approves financial assistance to repatriated documented OFWs

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite May 10 (PIA) The City Government of General Trias recently approved City Ordinance No. 20-46, an ordinance granting financial assistance to repatriated documented Gentriseño Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who lost their jobs due to the CoViD-19 pandemic. Documented OFWs who are bonafide residents of the City of General Trias with valid passport, work visa, and contract of employment duly processed with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) or the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) can avail of the program. Interested applicants are required to present the following: copy of passport or travel document; copy of valid ID/Documents showing proof of residency in the City of General Trias; copy of flight ticket or boarding pass as proof of return to the Philippines or arrival stamps/sticker attached to the passport; proof of overseas employment contract, Overseas Employment Compensaton registration, OWWA or POEA registration, resi
