Groton Even during a pandemic, an international audience will again see Robert E. Fitch High School’s marching band perform on New Year’s Day.
The Fitch Falcon Marching Band, which traveled to London two years ago to perform in the 2019 London New Year’s Day parade, will participate in the Jan. 1, 2021, virtual London parade event through a prerecorded video of the band’s performance in Groton and New Year’s greetings.
Band Director Andrew Lefebvre said in a phone interview that due to the pandemic, the marching band did not compete this year, but still put in hours of work toward a modified, socially distanced show for the sake of the art.
