A press release from the El Pomar Foundation announced that the Brush Area Chamber of Commerce will receive $5,000. Per the release, El Pomar Trustees approved $80,000 allocated to 10 nonprofit organizations and government entities in the Northeast region at the Foundation’s December Trustees meeting. “It’s a late Christmas present,” said Chamber Executive Director, MaKyle Mares. Mares was elated about the funding and said the plan is to put it towards programming and events. “It’s a substantial amount,” Mares said.
